SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KCBS/AP) -- Just hours before the House is expected to vote on an Iraq funding bill, police rousted demonstrators camped outside Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Pacific Heights residence. Gone are the tents, tables, banners, candles and flowers. All that remained early this morning of the so-called "Camp Pelosi" was a handful of people sleeping in vehicles.
"We're going to set up camp again tomorrow, as soon as we check with the lawyers," said a protestor who identified himself with the group Veterans for Peace. "We're pretty sure we're right that they can't just come, and they claim they had a neighbor complain."
Most of the group has been present for a dozen or so days, opposing any additional funding for the war.
